My Kandi Beads Costume Won First Prize
I am so excited that my Kandi Beads costume won first prize in the costume competition. A few months ago I would have never dreamed of something this exciting happening to me. I was never really interested in beads that much and I never really liked to wear jewelry. But I am so fortunate to have had a friend that was able to talk me into giving this competition a try. I am also very fortunate to have a friend who is a costume designer. She was invaluable in helping me to create the look that I had in my mind. The judges were so impressed with my costume that they wanted to purchase it to put in a museum. They said they would offer me an additional $10,000 to buy the costume from me. I agreed and gave the $10,000 to my friends. If it wasn’t for them I would have never won this competition.
