Medicare Slowly Improving
Since talks began of social healthcare, many Americans are raising red flags about the governmentâs interference in the public realm. However, these cries of Left, Left, or Better Dead than Red, come most often from the wealthiest Americans, who are generally insured and have nothing to worry about when it comes to financing their medical care. But the Obama Administration has effectively granted health discountsto millions of Americans – some entirely unable to afford health coverage, and some injured or sick, eschewing medical care in favor of other outlets for their money. Medical care is a basic right, and shouldnât play a role in the average citizenâs building debt – these health discounts are fighting that obstacle. So far itâs estimated that close to half a million Americans who were previously unable to afford coverage are now able at least to seek basic medical care in times of need. A drop in the bucket, one might say – but not to those people.
